Though critical, compliance messages are often all too easy for employees to tune out. Google needed a campaign employee’s couldn’t ignore in order reinforce a culture of safety at its global data centers.

First confirming our suspicion that data center folks tend to be fans of comics, we leaned into comic-style storytelling that featured original characters, live installations, music videos, and more.

The effort went viral inside Google, tripling employee engagement, earning thousands of interactions, and inspiring hundreds of employee suggestions that led to processes improvements.
