Airport takeover at competitor’s annual conference

HP, jokingly referred to as “The Good Enough” network, was ever eager to steal some of Cisco’s thunder as the innovative industry leader. And that always got under Cisco’s skin.

So, we had a plucky idea to upstage Cisco’s competitor by taking over of the Las Vegas airport leading into HP’s big customer event in Vegas.

The creative needed to make it clear that Cisco were the real innovators. A run-of-the-mill, “good enough” message would not suffice. We needed to make people stop and think.

The effort won much kudos for our client. Even better, the airport called to let us know that HP was so angered by the coup, they immediately requested an airport takeover for Cisco’s big Vegas conference later in the year. Of course, we’d already thought of that and booked the airport for ourselves.
